Reviews

Writing in a simple tone that informs kids in a way they can understand, but also comforts them and explains why mommy and daddy might behave in a confusing and perhaps scary way for a while, but ultimately it will be okay. This is a very good book.

I read these... And I bawled. I love your explanation to the kids. It is straightforward and child-appropriate. Miscarriage is life changing; it is not the same thing as going through any other medical ordeal, sickness, or injury. There was a whole separate person involved who you were looking forward to meeting. I think your book was very well written. It hit me in the feels! Great job.

The book is very moving, just right for the children. It’s beautiful.

When I was 5 years old, my mother was pregnant. She lost the baby. Of course, I didn’t fully understand at the time. And my mom didn’t have a book like yours to help explain it to me. You’re doing a good thing.

I teared up. That was very touching and helpful especially for those who have children who are coping with the loss as well.

I think you did an amazing job of explaining and conveying the sense of loss and sadness and coping in a way that very young children can understand.
